101 dalmatians nailart

This is the first time I give myself a cartoon manicure, but I couldn't resist:) After watching dolceorsetta's video on youtube, I felt I had to try this..

Playing with the french tips' color and shape seemed the best way to go. I left my ringfingers and thumbs for painting.

I know it will sound like excuses, but imagine this: painting the thums is difficult, you never have them in the right position, painting with my left hand was difficult as well.. and on top of it all, I had to paint the puppy watching the camera every now and then, to make sure my right hand wasn't in the way.. Hm, it was a challenge, but it was so much fun!

Fruity french manicure

Another red manicure, this time it is a french one, and the polish used is again by Indigo.

Of course there is some glitter involved, there is always some glitter involved..:)

Wherever you see red, it is with the same polish, "Red Delicious" by Indigo. All the rest is acrylic paint. The outlines were made with a water color pencil.

Liquid stone

It has been over a month since I did this one, but it is one of my favorites.

After many trials, I managed to do the liquid stone nailart. And I did try quiet a few different gel paints and curing times and various foils..

For this design, I made a french manicure with blue polish and a little bit of glitter. For the thumbnails I did a white shellac french, only because I had no time to wait for polish to dry completely..

Then I used a details brush and black paint gel from starnails.gr, a local supplier, and made a simple design. I cured for 2 minutes and applied a special gold foil. The foils that can be used for this type of nailart are super thin, and form little "breaks" easily. Most of the foils that I have from dollarnailart and other online suppliers don't work at all..

Then I used the same blue polish to fill the pattern, applied some mylars and filled with transparent IBD gel, so that the final result was a custom made jewel. I covered with a soak off top coat, so that I wouldn't ruin the foil look.

Easy delicate french with glitter and flowers

I had a request to show how I did this french manicure. The original was on my sister, Maria, with NSI gels.

This time I used polish and acrylic paint. First I covered all nails with a french pink polish, Korres "washed off pink". I had to do this, because on my right hand I have a gel overlay with a dark pink shade, so this made them both look the same. If I hadn't, I would use a normal french pink and continue with the french with Seventeen N.103 (white). Since my nailbed was too dark, I used Korres " Pink Shamagne" over the darker pink.

I applied some glitter diagonaly, and covered with topcoat. When it dried, I started painting the easiest flowers ever: daisies. Some dots and scrolls to fill the pattern and make it look more delicate, a rhinestone in the center and the final top coat.

These are the products I used:

I have already uploaded the tutorial on youtube,

My next tutorial is a Valentine's design, in the "no tools" category, and it will be uploaded on Tuesday.

Classic french with gel and acrylic (l&p)

I did 3 french manicures this week. The first one was on a friend, with gel. We used NSI bb cover pink warm in a super thin layer, and built the nails with blush, which is almost transparent (my friend doesn't like pink nailbeds). The white is with Indigo hybrid N.26. It was painted on, because it was a last minute's decision. The bows are hand painted, very simple.

The second one was on my sister. She let me try l&p, for the 3rd time ever. The first time was on 2011, using ezflow and recreating (or trying to..) a design by Gemma Lambert.

The second time was a few weeks ago, uzing ezflow again, in an attempt to create oval shape nails, 2 of them looked like dolphins from the side.. and this is my 3rd time, ever, trying the Young Nails l&p. I haven't been trained with acrylic at all, but I tried to do the reverse method with the beautiful cover peach powder and the xxxwhite.

This took me 4 hours, I had a lot of filing to do, but it was a unique experience and I will definately search for  training in l&p.

"Come on sis, pretend you are holding a wallet.." Haha..

The  3rd french manicure was on myself, using polish, but this will be an another post:)

Classic french

A friend of mine works for a company with strict policies regarding nails and makeup. She wanted her nails to be a little bit longer though, so we used NSI Balance body builder gel in "Cover Pink- warm" to elongate her nails. Since she had 3 days off, I proposed a classic white french with polish, something that she could easily remove herself. This way they would all be happy:)
Here it is:

The same thing I did for another friend a few days back. I applied Indigo gel polish N.12, and polished with Vinilux Serene Green on top of it, because the dress she would be wearing that night was dark green. I have no pictures of that, sadly, but both colors were beautiful..

Christmas nailart with stickers

Normally, I use stickers for my pedicures (being lazy..) but this time I really had fun!

Bornprettystore sent them to me for a review. There were 12 sets in 1 sheet, and you can tell how vivid the colors are, and how fine the gold details, even from my pictures. There are many designs, snowmen, santa, christmas trees, snowflakes, sleights, even some borders that you can use for your nailart:

I made a classic white french, sideswiped with red, and applied my stickers. How easier can it get, really?

These are the products I used:
Korres "Washed off pink"
Seventeen (white n.103)
Erre Due "Glitter effect N.986" over the white polish
ColorClub N.220 "Seduction"

Christmas nailart

I am lucky to have a friend like Mary.. She lets me do things on her nails:)

This time we made a classic french overlay with NSI gel, and couldn't decide what to do, so we added a bit of all..  "Do you like the teddy bear?" "Yes, let's do it" "Oh, and can we make a christmas tree?" "Oh, and a santa?" "Oh, snowman would be nice, too!"

Don't get me wrong, I like the classic french, it is always elegant and wearable, no matter where you work, but I wish I was asked to do different things more often.

We made the Santa and teddy bear on the thumbs.

Cute, don't you think?

Christmas Glam

Finally, my collaboration nailart with Beyonceesha is uploaded on youtube, and I am very excited!

We both used similar methods, hers being a more christmas design, lol, but my daughter said that my balls look like ornaments, too:)

I made a french manicure with CND "Serene Green" and topped it with "Emerald shimmer". Only the ringfinger is polished entirely. I then applied white polish, forming circles, added a drop of light green inside them and marbled. Then I made the outlines with black gel and cured in a uv lamp.

Then I applied the gold foil. On the lower hand, it was applied directly on the black gel's inhibition layer, on the upper hand I cleansed and applied foil adhesive and when it dried I applied the foil. As you can see, it was better with the foil adhesive. Although I could fix it with gold polish or paint, I left it like this, because it kind of looked like an antique gold..

I then applied IBD clear gel on top of the foil and marble circles, forming balls, for a more 3d look. I also applied a bit of gel on the golden smilelines and cured in a uv lamp. The gel worked as a magnifying glass, and the result was very beautiful.

I then cleansed once again and applied my normal top coat. Here are the products I used for this nailart:

So, the tutorial is already uploaded on youtube, and I am very happy. Beyonceesha did her best to keep the date, even though she had a problem with her computer and couldn't upload for a week.

She made a beautiful nailart, don't you think?

Cute snowman french

Time is aproaching, it will be Christmas soon, but it is already snowing in many places around the world. This  cute snowman with beanie hat is handpainted (sadly, on one of these days when I feel I have two left hands..) but still looks cute, I think :)

I made a french manicure with an ink blue polish (Cnd Inkwell). I know it looks black, and the fact is that it also looks like black in real, just not the raven black. I faded the smileline with the sponge to let the color show more. I added Cnd gold sparkle effect, which is almost the same as Northern lights in gold and my topcoat, and then started painting..

I uploaded the tutorial on my channel, to watch it click here.

Here are the products I used:

Remember, I don't like Lidan very much, but I don't like to waste products (or money) either, so I will use them in nailart until I run out. Never for one stroke, though..
